A fix is in the works

After the big stink we got away from Walker’s Cay Reef and headed north. We got about even with, but a long ways from, West Palm Beach and no wind again, we took in the main and staysail to try and calm our movement as the seas are quite rolly. Nope, not working. Things are banging and crashing around in the cabinets, miraculously no casualties that we can find. At first light we have winds enough that we can head north in hopes that the predicted wind change from west to northwest to east will happen. If so we can skirt the Florida coast and head into Stuart. We are now far enough away from the Bahama shoal to achieve this. As I write this we are in the afternoon calm, becalmed, again.

All night there was not a breath of wind, and it’s foggy. Strange the boat rocked, and spun like some crazy very slow motion carousel. Foggy on one side, clear as a bell on the other. As we do our slow spin, foggy, clear, foggy clear. Kind of like the Twilight Zone only real life.

Steve thinks he has a way to fix the engine. Please God, just a little help here would be appreciated
